From June 5 to 7, 2025, the second Xiyuan Skin Disease Clinical Efficacy and Scientific Research Capability Enhancement Training Workshop was successfully held in Beijing. The event was organized by the Beijing Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Chronic Disease Prevention and Treatment Promotion Association. It aimed to address the clinical and research bottlenecks in the treatment of skin diseases using both traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine.
The workshop brought together numerous experts and scholars in the field of dermatology. They engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics, including the latest advancements in the integrated treatment of skin diseases, challenges in clinical practice, and ways to enhance research capabilities. The program included a variety of activities such as keynote speeches, case discussions, and training sessions on research methodologies, providing a comprehensive platform for academic exchange.
The integration of TCM and Western medicine has shown promising results in treating skin diseases. For example, studies have demonstrated that combining TCM and Western medicine can lead to better therapeutic outcomes in managing conditions like atopic dermatitis. The integrated approach has been found to improve clinical effectiveness rates and long-term disease control, while also enhancing patients’ quality of life. This workshop provided valuable insights and practical guidance for professionals in the field, promoting the development of dermatology and the integration of different medical practices.
